Such a precious baby boy. He has sooo much hair. Loves his Momma and his Grandma who came today for his first photo shoot. When taking pictures of babies you can not have a time limit. Feedings, diaper changes, & burping has to be taken care of before anything:) This little guy did want to be put down, so we had to get creative and take his picture in his Mommy and Grandma's arms. We ended up with some adorable shots for years to come. Yeah!!!

3 Year Old Sweet Boy

Precious Boy!! Such a fun personality. He is another one of those little buzzing bees that I have to sneak around to get a picture. With little ones it isn't about posing them and having them sit here and smile, it is more like following them around as they explore and watch for their little personalities to shine. Then just like photographing a bee or bird, quick trigger finger is the key to getting the shot. I love the challenge when parents tell me we can't get a good picture of them because they are too quick. Its all about patience and letting them get comfortable, playing, and keeping them busy ... we go on a walk around my property... visiting my chickens and my little pig. So much fun!!!

Another special "Rock the Dress" shoot; Holly and Turbo were married in January. Such a special day. Finally we were able to get the rock the dress shoot in before they move to Oregon. We had the most amazing location for this, one of the most beautiful ranches I have ever seen.

Love capturing the personalities and love of the people I am taking pictures of. I hate posed pictures so I love letting the passion show through. The sunset was gorgeous yesterday just like this special couple! I am so excited to be a part of this couples lives, look forward to the next chapter in their lives as they grow a family. Such a beautiful wedding. So much love in the air, lots of tears. It is really hard to take pictures with tears in your eyes. Had so much fun with the bridal party. So exciting! It is official, feel so good having this done. This was quite the process, but so important to follow all the laws in having your own business. I am so full of excitement to see how my business is going to grow this year, what an amazing year I had in 2009. I will have my new camera this next week, my first official wedding by myself in a few weeks, and my indoor studio almost pulled together. Thanks to my sweet husband for getting me an amazing professional lighting system for it. He is so supportive and I love him so much. Thanks for all my amazing subjects I had this year and so excited for all the new things that I will be doing this year. I have so many fun things planned and can't wait to get them implemented. The respect and love I have for all the military families that sacrifice so much for all of our freedom has been so reminded to me these past few months as alot of my friends have had their husbands and sons leave for duty. Thank you for all the support and encouragement to my first ever contest winning. This has to have a explanation on how this picture came to be. I was attending church one Sunday and I looked up a few rows ahead of me and saw this man holding this brand new baby. I then saw his tatoos as he was holding his son. I could hardly pay attention the whole sermon and kept going back and forth at asking them if I could take their picture. I had just started my professional photography and was looking for some models to build my portfolio. I got up the nerve after church and went up and introduced myself. I then asked if they would be interested in taking pictures with me? The other amazing God thing was that Matt's Mom from back east had just flew in the night before and we were able to get some great shots with her grandchildren.They said yes, and I said "how about today?". They followed us home from church, I ordered pizza and we were able to take some amazing photos. And to top it all make new wonderful friends!! God is good, just love seeing His hand work in such amazing ways. This photo was so cool as Matt had worn a black shirt to church that day, so I just hung my black backdrop and started shooting. Little did I know 8 months later it would be an award winning photograph!!! Love making new friends through the lens of my camera!!!!

Sooo much fun! Got her hair done by her amazing Aunt Julie, who owns Tete Tete Day Spa in Atascadero. Then had heads a turning all around town as we did this shoot. Everyone who is a new bride or going to be, or can fit in their wedding dress should do this. Going to make a special book of all these photos. Some Fall Decoration Ideas

Mantles and Bookcases are a great place to decorate for the fall season. Picking Leaves and Branches and putting them around add that fall feeling. Garlands of leaves, fruit, branches, are available to purchase;

Go around your home and collect anything that are the colors of fall and group together. Taking pictures in a pumpkin patch or a big pile of fall leaves is a great way to decorate also;

collecting acorns from under an oak tree and putting in a glass container for display is very fallish;

pillows with the words "GIVE" "Thanks" is fun for an entry or couch;

An orange candle, glass container of candy, and a fall colored fruit bowl on your kitchen counter is all you need to add a little fall to the inside of your home; go decorate!!

It was so hot and everyone did so good. These kids were under 2lbs when they were born, such an inspiration. Pray for their brother who has been through so much and still is fighting infection and other things. So blessed to have spent time with them.

God's Art

These 3 photos were taken over in Bishop, CA. I was waiting for my family as they were dear hunting. I had my camera and started taking pics of the desert flowers that were few. I love the softness of them in such a harsh and desolate place.

The sky as I was waiting, every minute it would change a different color, gorgeous.

One of my all time favorite landscape photos. I call it "Rays in the Water Trough", it will be one of my pieces focused in an art show I was asked to be in coming up.

Here is another shot of that beautiful sky that night. Love the coloring of this majestic mountain.

Road of Life

One of my many heart rocks. Getting quite a collection, amazing how you can find these treasures God makes for us, if you take time and look!

Loved driving through this aspen grow in Utah last year. It was breathtaking as we went through the tunnel of trees.

Another one of my favorites. Love the coloring of the leaves of these trees. Also the road, love road pictures. Makes you think about life, where does the road lead? what is around the next corner?etc...

Have a whole collection of these photos also. An old ghost town up above Silverton, Colorado.

This is what I saw when I pulled up to Back on The Racks-a great consignment store in Atascadero that my friends Rocky and Matt own. I was going to have an afternoon with their twins- Nina and Jax ( that is how he told me to spell it today:) Jackson. This picture reminds me of a postcard, love the Carlton in the background a local old hotel that has been restored.

Fun place, clothes, shoes, accessories for all ages, even a crib in the middle of the store for sale. Very stylish and affordable way to update your wardrobe. It is on Traffic Way in Atascadero.

Before we took off to go on our adventure, this is what I saw in my rear view mirror. 2 precious heads so excited to drive in our jeep. Jackson loved it with the camouflage seat covers:)

Fireplace Makeover

Before- after we took off the molding, you can see the old design if you look close.

After-slate tiles with mosaic border of slate and pieces of glass, beautiful. Painted the mantle dark chocolate brown. Looks so rich and love the colors of the natural slate.

My son Taylor and I did the tiling. Love tiling, like doing a big puzzle.

Little pieces of glass, the grout is grey in the picture it looks white?

This is when I laid it out on the floor to get the design and spread the colors out. This was a fun project and love how it turned out. So happy for the family that gets to enjoy it everyday!!!

10 days old now, stopped by for a visit,

Little pitter of feet- sister's feet who are 3 and 5. This was a hard photo to get, hard to get them to lay still for a second, busy-busy. You can see his little mark on his heal from the bandaid from getting his blood drawn. Poor baby. Going to reshoot this one:)

Ben & Kate's Rings

Today I decided to do a little project, Just for fun and felt like being creative. Here are a few I came up with- Simple, but shows detail of rings;

The green of the grass brings out Ben's ring;

hidden but stands out;

These oak leaves were used down the center of the aisle, she had saved them and they turned brown. Love the composition and colors of this one.

This one shows where the ceremony took place;

did some fun shots of Ben & Kate's wedding rings;

This one is special because 6:00 is when they got married;

different textures with his wedding band was fun, very unique ring;

In some grapevine;

on the tip of an arrow-Ben is a bowhunter, notice my husband's deer in the background;

out on the front porch of our home where the wedding was held. Fun to do shots that are special to the bride and groom. Hobbies, special locations, objects, etc... always make the shot extra memorable. Look forward to doing alot more of these. Great gift idea for anniversary present. Loved doing this project,
